Transition

               Being a mom still amazes  me every day. 
Things that get me:

* real tears while crying
* when she snuggles 
* She is starting to get excited when daddy gets home
* When she is sleeping and smiles
* Lils is starting to laugh every day
* How much more I pray. Not just for Carl and I but for my family and for Lils to know the Lord.  

Cloth Diapers starts Saturday!

Here is the cloth diapers I have decided on! I have 12 of them to start out with to see if I like them or not... I am determined ( like with breast feeding) to make this work! Carl and I are on a one budget house hold so my job is to cut cost where I can.. SO lets see if this helps! We are also making our own cloth diaper detergent. Heres the Link to cloth detergent . We are starting this whole new step Saturday. I am hoping and praying this goes well.

Ramblings and floating

Our little family got some serious lake time the other day :) Lilly did great and did not freak out at the water! Thank goodness. I really and hoping she loves to swim and we can share that together! Carl took lilly home after a couple hours and I stayed and floated for a while and read. The book I am reading now is not one of my favs. BUT It is the 3rd in a series and I have to finish the series. OCD.

SO we have been trying a church for some time now.. I just really have a longing for lils to grow up in a church that has a FANTASTIC children's program. I even signed up for a Tuesday bible study in the AM. that provides child care. I KNOW! I am stepping out! <3 We shall see how it goes. I am trying to finally be open to church again. Trying. Key. word. :D I just want lils to grow up in ONE church.

Lately we have had enough on our plate of worries. Carl and I have really been giving it to the Lord. We are learning that His provision is best and He always. ALWAYS provides. God. Is. Good. Even when we are not. I am so overwhelmed with his grace and love for our little family <3

27 is just around the corner

I am turning 27 this saturday. I am trying to be positive about this aging thing. :) ON a different note I am trying to convince carl that my current diaper bag is evil ;) and I am in need of a new one! ( Not working by the way) Here is the one I am drooling over! Diaper bags are like purses, you need to change it up once in a while . The weather has been really hot lately. Which I usually like BUT with an infant you can not swim to much but Aubrey my sister in-law found other ways of keeping lilly cool, and of course lots of shade!!

Plans for the house

So since we have been in our house I have been eyeing the horrible apartment shades/blinds we have.. you know, the plastic ones that reach to the floor.. I can not stand them and this fall I plan to eliminate them! Been looking at Ikea for curtains and rods. I think we are going to light color in the front room  and dark in the back room. 

I am also looking to remove the awful fake rock wall in the front room with just the dry wall and paint it .. then add built in book shelves and some of these on the sides 

Slowly but surely I am hoping to make adjustments. Being a home owner is fun BUT you have to be super patient sometimes with repairs and makeovers. aka. Budget budget budget :) 

New Beginnings

We are new parents and still learning a lot, everyday seems like a new challenge. 

Today marks One full year that Carl and I have been in our house and we love it! We love being close to family which is really nice when (me) a new mom needs help. Lilly is now 4 months and growing fast!
